I know it’s been over a week since I posted anything and I’m sorry! I have been sick and in pain from a toothache for over a week. I have been working out when I felt okay, sometimes I was just too weak. On monday I had a root canal (ouch!), and I’ll have to go back two more times to complete it! NOT looking forward to that…
Anyways, the main reason behind my miraculous loss has to be because of my toothache. It was such a pain to eat and it kind of still is, so I haven’t been eating a lot. I try to stick to soft foods and I even have been drinking protein shakes for some meals. This may go on for a while because I’ll have to keep going back to the dentist.
Well, I’d like to look on the bright side of this situation and say that I’m really happy to be out of the 160’s finally! Once things go back to normal and I can eat regular again, I’m going to try my best not to gain the weight back!

I didn’t reach my goal but that’s alright. However I am being more consistent with working out and lifting weights! I just can’t believe that this month is over already! So I’ll just keep this little goal for the month of October as well. Maybe second time’s the charm right?
My goals for October:
- Get out of the 160’s.
- Continue working out for at least 30 minutes a day
- Continue to lift weights consistently
- Keep a food diary and jot down my workouts
Before you know it, the holiday season will be here! That means a lot of food and temptation. I want to lose a little before the season of my favorite holiday treats approaches!

Yeah, I sort of realized that I won’t make my September goal of reaching 160 but that’s okay. I’ll get there soon!
And over the weekend…
I bought this awesome notepad (It’s actually a mousepad, but whatever)! I plan on using it to record my eating and workouts. I love how it’s for 5 days a week since I mainly screw up on the weekends but hey, 5 days of healthy eating and exercise is better than nothing right? And of course I will still work out on the weekends as well. Eventually, I’ll get to a point in time where I can eat better on the weekends, probably when I move out of the house…ideally.

Also, I found out that my Wii console still lives! I guess that means I’ll be back to my daily Wii Fit morning ritual. I actually missed it.
I started this weight loss/health journey around March and it was amazing to be able to look back at my progress so far on Wii Fit. It’s amazing how far I’ve come. Just a few months ago I was obese and now I’m only 10 pounds away from a normal, healthy weight! I’m really excited because it sort of gave me a new outlook on this journey. I want to be at a healthy weight and it isn’t that far away! I don’t think I’ve ever been in the normal weight range before, so it’s kind of scary, more like an adventure into the unknown. I know I can do it!
A mini-goal for this week.
I always plan ahead what I want to do as far as workouts… it’s actually doing it that’s the problem. I think a big part of it is that I intimidate myself with unrealistic goals. I’ll schedule myself to do over an hour and a half of aerobics and strength training combined and end up flaking out for the day due to lack of time, energy, or whatnot. I’m always making up excuses. Well, not anymore. This week, I am setting a mini-goal of:
- Exercising for 30 minutes a day (at least)
- Strength training for 15 minutes a day
Sounds doable right? I was going to have this as my October goal but what better time to start than now?

I know i haven’t done WIW in a while but basically I have been around the 165-166 range these past few weeks. But hey! I’m back at 163!
Hopefully, if i keep up the good work I could lose these three pounds and meet my goal!
September
I have only one goal for you, September. Sorry, no long list of things I know I should change but can’t. None of the over-the-top challenges I tend to make for myself. I don’t have the room for failure this month. I just have one goal this time:
- Get out of the 160’s.
That’s only four pounds. I can lose that this month, and I will. And by the end of this month, my scale will read one-fifty-something-point-something.

I decided to do a weigh in today before I leave for the shore this weekend. I’m so glad I didn’t gain! I haven’t done much exercise this week besides walking but I have been watching how much I have been eating.
This weekend I going to have fun. F-U-N. I’m going to try my best not to bring myself down or be ashamed of myself at the beach. I’ve come a long way, I just have to stay positive!

I didn’t make it to the gym this morning so I just did an hour and a half workout session!

I’m not too worried because I’m still recovering from the water weight I gained thanks to a certain monthly friend. Just yesterday the scale was reading 3-4lbs heavier and the day before that 6-7lbs, so hopefully when I weigh in on friday I’ll see an even lower number? Maybe?

- 1 hour on treadmill- 600 calories burned
- 30 minutes of lower body toning (abs and legs)
Went with my sister to National Night Out near the recreational center today, which explains why my ‘dinner’ kind of sucked. Anyways, I still think I did really good today and I hope WIW is a good one!
August Goal:
This month I have one goal: Make being active and healthier a habit! I’m always lacking in some areas and stronger in others, but this month I want to focus on balancing everything from exercise to eating. Pretty doable.
- Drink 2 liters of water everyday
- Workout at least 4 days a week
- Lift weights and tone consistently
- Healthier food choices
- 1200-1500 calories a day
